RIVA GUCCI AQUARIVA SPEED BOAT
Italian design house Gucci in cooperation with Riva and Officina Italiana Design introduced a new speedboat, named Aquariva. The model was designed to take part in activities marking Gucci’s 90th anniversary in 2011.
The Aquariva by Gucci was unveiled at the Cannes International Boat and Yacht Show on September 7th, 2010 followed by a special presentation on September 22nd, 2010, the opening day of Milan Fashion Week.
This unique collaboration between two of Italy’s most renowned design houses celebrates the era of La Dolce Vita, when a joie de vivre, glamour and elegance defined an attitude and a lifestyle. In their respective sectors, Gucci and Riva have similar stories, each with a tradition of excellence in design and craftsmanship that has led to international notoriety.
Respecting the DNA of the original project created by Officina Italiana Design was paramount to Gucci’s design for Aquariva. Defining the Aquariva by Gucci is a hull and detailing painted in Gucci’s own glossy hues, while Riva’s signature use of mahogany with classic varnish finish – twenty coats in all, ten by brushing, ten by spraying – is also the signature material for the cockpit and walking decks and awning cover hatch. Completing the Gucci customization is a series of exclusive Riva by Gucci accessories.
This is a beautiful model of the Riva Gucci Aquariva, 100% hand built by artisans from scratch using “plank on frame” construction method. Our luxurious Riva Corsaro model is handcrafted from beautiful wood such as rosewood, mahogany, teak, and along with various other exotic woods. The hull of Riva Corsaro is handmade using a plank on frame method, hollow inside,each strip of exotic wood are carefully join together to form a smooth hull .
This Riva Gucci Aquariva model is completely hand built by skillful and creative master craftsmen. You will be amazed at how real it looks. The boat has a nice color of white and varnished red wood on the side of the hull. On the top, you can spot gorgeous glossed red and natural wood trims along with others amazing details. You can easily discover the eye-catching details such as: black/cream leather seats, colorful navigation gauges, shiny metal steering wheel, metal horns, metal control consoles, metal rails surrounding the boat, clear windshield with metal frames, unique storage space with opening/closing doors and much more.
Our master craftsmen handcraft this detailed models from scratch using historical photographs, drawings and original plan. It's built to scale with top quality wood such as rosewood, teak, and mahogany. This replica is 100% handcrafted individually using plank-on-frame construction method and are similar to the building of the actual ship. She has been applied multi-layered paint to match the color of the real ship with highly-detailed such as: laser cut doors and window so you can see thru superstructure, thanks to a hollow hull and hollow superstructure. Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop. Due to te delicate nature of these models, small parts parts may dislodge during shipping and is not considered defective or cause for return.
