DRAKKAR VIKING SHIP
The Drakkar, or Viking Longships, were the long, narrow and very flexible vessels used by the Vikings for trade, exploration, and warfare. The Longships had symmetrical ends and a maximal speed of around 15 knots, and they were also called “dragonships” because they often had a dragon-shaped bow or other magical beings carved on it. The Longships had been the symbol of the Vikings naval power for a long time, ranging in the North and Baltic Sea and even far from their Scandinavian homelands: to Iceland, Greenland, Northern America and the Mediterranean!
Now you can get this beautiful model ship for your collection. Our master craftsmen handcrafted this nicely detailed model from scratch using historical photographs, drawings, and original plan. We selected finest woods and material to build this model. Also, we use “plank on bulkhead” construction method which is similar to the building of the actual ship.
You can find many details of the model such as: complex rigging with hundreds of blocks and deadeyes, figurehead, cannons, anchors, bell, and other fittings made from metal. Furthermore, we hand-painted multi-layered paint to match the color of the real ship. Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop. This model somes with a solid wood base and ready to display. It’ll make a perfect gift for home or office decorator, boat enthusiast, or passionate collector.

Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop. Due to te delicate nature of these models, small parts parts may dislodge during shipping and is not considered defective or cause for return. This replica is mounted on a solid wood base and ready to display.
